Nancy Goldfarb
Nancy Goldfarb is a veteran communications and PR professional with deep experience in public affairs, media relations, issues management, and crisis communications. Nancy has worked at PR firms, Fortune 500 corporations, a non-profit advocacy organization, and academia during her career. Most recently, she led the Public Affairs department at Columbia Law School for over a decade, working closely with faculty and administrators. She also worked hand-in-glove with the Development department on special events and campaigns that involved high-profile individuals and alumni, including her favorite graduate—Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
After retiring in 2022, Nancy has taken on a number of volunteer roles. She was sworn in by a New York City Family Court judge as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in 2023 after extensive training. In addition to her advocacy work for CASA, Nancy serves as an English language practice partner for new immigrants and as a LiLY volunteer. She has lent her communications expertise to the LiLY leadership team and provided communications support for the 2024 gala.
She and her husband are longtime residents of Morningside Heights, where they raised their two children, now adults. When she is not spending time doing volunteer work, Nancy can be found in Riverside Park, enjoying the greenery, the fresh air, the birds, and the escape from the crowded sidewalks of Broadway.
