Community Care Programs
The community of Morningside Heights and West Harlem are home to LiLY’s model care programs for its oldest residents living at home. All services and programs are free-of-charge. Community connections, friendship, and support for daily living are just some of the ways that LiLY helps thanks to a large corps of trained caring volunteers who live within walking distance of those they serve, and dedicated staff.

LiLY’s “Villager” frequently published print newsletter is mailed to hundreds of community elders, helping to keep them “connected” to wanted information, to the neighborhood, and to one another.

Seeding Neighborhood Volunteer Elder-Care Projects
In a variety of ways, LiLY works with people who want to form a neighborhood elder-care network that helps elders—free of charge—to remain comfortably in their own homes as they age.
Currently, we are mentoring several groups, for example in Fairfield, Illinois and in Solano County, California. We have also published Guidebook to help those who want to build their own community elder- care network, based on LiLY’s Morningside Village program.
